Ferndown Forest Seniors Section

The Men's Senior Section is an integral part of the club.

Any paid-up 5 or 7 day member of the Ferndown Forest Golf Club, aged 55 or over,
is very welcome to join us.
The annual subscription payable to the Senior Section is £5.00.
The Senior Section is self regulating with its own written constitution and committee.
The committee and Captain are voted for at the AGM held in January.

Seniors' competitions are organised to take place every Monday morning from 7.00 am with a regular turn out of approximately 40 to 50 members.
The format varies from a Medal to a Texas Scramble and includes a good number of Stablefords.
All members handicaps are tested in the Medals and Stablefords, which are played off the white tees and scorecards are recorded in the Club Handicap software.
Tee times are randomly drawn two weeks in advance to encourage all members to mix and become part of the section.

We play regular matches against other local golf clubs on a home and away basis.
Each match is followed by a meal.
Selection for each match is the sole responsibility of the Seniors Section captain,
currently Ron Wollington (Tel : 01202 243754).

Throughout the year the Senior Section endeavours to support a charity in a number of competitions and the chosen charity for 2017 is Bournemouth & East Dorset Relay for Life
(Cancer Research UK)

New Senior members are always welcome to join us, please do not hesitate to ask in the Golf Shop.
